Invisalign® Is it right for me?

West Wind Dental is proud to offer the most advanced clear aligner in the world. Our office is a certified provider of Invisalign® clear aligners, which give you a clear, convenient, and comfortable option to achieve the smile you’ve always wanted.

What is it?

Invisalign® is a set of clear aligners, better known as braces, without the visible brackets, metal wires, or glue! Invisalign aligners may not be completely invisible, however, these clear coverings fit tightly over your teeth and are much less noticeable than the brackets and wires of traditional braces.

Invisalign® aligners are made with SmartTrack® material giving them an agreeable balance between gentle and controllable force to position the teeth up to 50% faster than regular braces.

Why choose Invisalign®?

Invisalign® clear aligners can treat a wide range of teeth-straightening conditions, including crossbites, crowding, open bites, gapped teeth, overbites, and underbites.

Unlike traditional braces, patients are able to take the Invisalign® aligners out. This allows you to eat, drink, or brush and floss your teeth without discomfort. It also prevents teeth discoloration, which can be an occurrence with bracketed braces.

Invisalign® is also cost-effective. Many insurance policies will cover the full cost of your aligners. West Wind Dental also offers payment plan options so you don’t have to pay the entire bill all at once.

How does it work?

We will use our state-of-the-art digital technology to create a 3-D image of your mouth and jaw and use this image to put together a plan for moving your teeth into their proper place. You’ll even get to see how your teeth will move and preview your new smile.

Next, Dr. Hamilton will use that plan to create a series of customized plastic aligners. These aligners will apply pressure to your teeth and gradually shift them and move them into the desired places.

In order for the treatment to be successful, patients are advised to wear the Invisalign® trays for at least 20 to 22 hours a day. This ensures that your teeth are moving in the right direction.

Patients must visit the office every 6 weeks or so we may check in on your progress and go over any questions or concerns you may have.
