What is Invisalign?
To put it simply, Invisalign is a set of clear aligners better known as braces. What’s so special about Invisalign? No brackets, no metal, no glue, no embarrassing food stuck between wires. The Invisalign aligners are transparent and plastic making them more predictable to straighten your teeth and straighten them comfortably.
Unlike any other clear aligners, Invisalign aligners are made with SmartTrack material giving them an agreeable balance between gentle and controllable force to position the teeth up to 50% faster than regular braces.
Why Choose Invisalign?
It’s true. There are tons of Invisalign alternatives – those that should not be named. But, as we’ve mentioned, Invisalign uses a SmartTrack material making them more comfortable and just as effective as regular braces.
Invisalign is also cost effective. Many insurance policies will cover the entire cost of your aligners. We also may be able to work with you on a payment plan, so make sure you ask!
How does it work?
Unlike traditional braces, the patient is able to take the Invisalign aligners out. This allows you to eat, drink, or brush and floss your teeth without any weird discomfort or arm positions. It also disables the option for discoloration on the teeth which can be an occurrence with bracketed braces.
However, in order for the treatment to be successful, it is advised that to wear them at least between 20 to 22 hours a day. This ensures that your teeth are moving in the right direction.
